Create and assign groups
Groups let you bundle people together so you don’t have to assign them to tasks one by one.
What you’ll need
Section titled “What you’ll need”- Admin or Standard member permissions
- Access to Settings
Creating a group
Section titled “Creating a group”- Go to Settings > Organization > Groups.
- Click + to create a new group.

- Enter a name and description (both required).
- Add members and/or guests1.
- Click Create.
Assigning groups to template steps
Section titled “Assigning groups to template steps”- Open a template and select the step (task) you want to assign.
- Click the assignment box labeled “Assignee”.
- Pick your group from the dropdown.

Group assignment options
Section titled “Group assignment options”- Maximum assignees2 - set on an individual step, this caps how many people that step may end up assigned to. Assigning a group counts everyone inside it, so a group larger than the cap is refused.
- For dynamic assignments that change based on process conditions, use assignment actions.
