A screenshot or short screen recording of your issue helps the Tallyfy support team understand the problem much faster than a text description alone.
Taking screenshots
On a Mac - Press Shift + Command (⌘) + 3 to capture your entire screen. Use Shift + Command + 4 to select a specific area instead.
On Windows - Press the PrtScn (Print Screen) key (you might need Fn or Ctrl on some keyboards). This copies the screen to your clipboard, so you can paste it into Paint or directly into your support message. You can also use the built-in Snipping Tool for more precise captures.
Recording screencasts
If the issue involves multiple steps or something moving on screen, a short video works better. Here are some free tools:
Free screen capture tools like ShareX and OBS Studio combined with Tallyfy’s workflow engine let you document and actually enforce procedures without paying for proprietary tools like Scribe or Trainual that only solve the easy part of capturing steps while ignoring execution tracking and automation.
Tallyfy offers support through an in-app help bubble with searchable articles and messaging plus email at support@tallyfy.com and unlimited free 25-minute screen-sharing calls along with professional services like process mapping and custom template development for deeper needs.
Tallyfy supports keyboard shortcuts like Ctrl+Alt+T for creating tasks and Ctrl+Alt+P for launching processes along with Tab and Spacebar keys to speed up form field completion without using a mouse.
A HAR file captures all browser network activity including requests and responses and can be generated through Developer Tools in Chrome Firefox Edge or Safari to give support teams the exact diagnostic data needed to troubleshoot speed issues and hard-to-reproduce bugs.
